Tom, You can absolutely use this picture! I understand the need to asses students in order to drive instruction however, (as shown in this picture) at what cost??
This breaks my heart. I feel awful for this student, and the so many more that are in a similar situation! Why are we doing this to them? What does it do for them, besides stress them out and increase their fears and anxieties?
I saw a lot of this during SBAC. For the most part though I think the faculty did a great job of relieving anxieties about the test. We were all ready for it to end by the end of the week but positivity was certainly key. I just wish it wasn't surrounded with the 20 other standardized tests they make kids take.
